Great deal

I mentioned earlier that our cake maker is moving to New Zealand. She is having a garage sale and I stopped by. Just about everything was marked 25cents. So i got about 10 cake/cupcake pans and this hanging organizer. I have been wanting to get something for the kids school clothes. Every night i set out their clothes and with this i can get it ready for the whole week. tops, bottoms, underwear and socks. very cool. I can also hang Kaitlen's dresses.

Ok, I saw @mckmama tweet about Arnold Schwarzenegger, @schwarzenegger, and thought it was pretty cool that he has a twitter account. When Cody saw his tweet page he got excited to see the Terminator! and stated that he wants to move back to Ca so that Schwarzenegger could be his Governor. Sooooooooo, when Cody went off to bed i sent Mr. Arnold a tweet with what Cody said.

It seriously NEVER crossed my mind that he'd tweet back!!! i came to check out my emails and there it was!!

and here is what he said. Tina said he probably sends that to everyone, but I don't care! He spent the time to send it is what is cool.

So After Codys Medical career (remember) and he becomes Gov of Arkansas, he will have this tweet, lol. Now I need to get something from a President so he has something for when he is President of the USofA.

Aspergers

A little info on it.

It's to late to test Cody for this school year, but they will have everything lined up for Cody to be tested the first week of 4th grade. Cody has a lot of the symptoms to varying degrees. Ok, I've sat here for like 10 minutes trying to figure out how to explain Cody's symptoms to you but it's near impossible because it's "Cody" We have known for a while that something was wrong with Cody. (I don't like to use the word wrong, but you know what I mean) For a while we were heading down the ADD road, which I didn't mind but i felt there was something just a tad more than that. But I didn't know what it was. It wasn't until Cody left for his field trip to the quartz mine and I spent 40 minutes talking to another mom after the bus left and she was telling me about all the quirks with her son and I swear after everything she said i would say, "Cody too" at the end of it all she told me he had been diagnosed with Aspergers. I had heard of it, but had no idea what it was. So i looked it up and it would explain a lot if that's what he's got going on. That's where we are at right now. I'll update as we go further into this.
I'm not upset that he possibly has this. Sometimes just having an Dx and info to go with it is a relief. I wouldn't change Cody for who he is, what fun would that be, but i want to be able to help him in the areas that he needs it to get through life.

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT

ok, Matthew has never, ever had a dry night. EVER. So once abbie got bigger he would just wear one of her diapers to bed. Well, about a week and a half ago i decided to buy Matthew his very own Goodnights pull ups because he would pee so much that abbies diaper didn't always hold it all. Well, he was so excited and thought they were just great. Then about 4 or 5 days ago he said he didn't want to sleep with a pull up, that he was a big boy. So i explained to him that if he didn't have one on he'd pee in his sleep and be wet. He wasn't happy, but he kept wearing them. WELL, last night he said NO, he was a big boy and didn't need them. So i agreed. He had to go pee right then and he could sleep in underwear. we went to bed and i didnt put anything under him because i didn't want him to think i didn't believe in him. So I snuck a towel and stuck it inbetween him and i. (lol, i didnt want to get wet) I just figured I'd be washing sheets in the AM. I slept like crap and kept waking up to feel if he was wet and every time he was dry! He went all night without wetting the bed. The weird thing is when he'd wear a diaper/pullup to bed I'd check in the middle of the night to see if there was pee in it and making sure it wasn't wet in the AM because he was maybe doing his morning pee in it. It was always wet throught the night and he would take it off and then go pee in the toilet first thing in the morning. It's like his bladder matured over night. The funny thing is he is literally the same age as kaitlen when she stopped night wetting. Kaitlen was Aug 07 and her 5th bday was Oct, and Matthew will be 5 in July.

Now to get Abigail out of diapers....

I had planned on posting this a couple days ago, but I've had a headache coming on and it finally hit today. I had to call Ben to pick the kids up from school and then eventually asked him to stay home from work. He picked up the older kids, then realized he forgot to get Matthew which was on his way from work to the big kids school so he had to backtrack and he got me the over the counter migraine medicine and finally made it home. I took the medicine and he took the kids to Oklahoma to get a lotto ticket and he also came back with a new dog house. Which is weird because Ben doesn't shop for dog houses. I do. It even has the clear plastic flappy door on it.

Our cake lady is moving

to NEW ZEALAND!!!! who's going to do our cakes. Im talking locally because my SIL makes all our get together cakes. Like Kaitlens and Abbies party shes doing the princess cakes and we are going to do Matthews party on the 4th of July at their house, but their are some times here and there we need our local baker, bahhhh.

My MRI results

I went for my follow up appointment with Dr. H. My liver panel came back great and the liver is functioning normal. My cystic ducts are clear and there are no residual stones left, which is what he expected. The only thing that was seen was a 1cm fibrosis spot on my liver. He says that is from the surgery and that the rest of my pain is most likely from adhesions. The radiologist wants to repeat an MRI in 6 months to check on the spot. Dr H says that its nothing to worry about, that if radiology was worried they'd want me to follow up in 3 months or 6 weeks and that's not the case. So, in 6 months i'll follow up with Dr H and we'll talk more about the adhesions. Right now i'm just going to live with them.

May is Asian Heritage Month

I had no idea!! I definitely think that a trip to our favorite Filipino restaurant is in order. Maybe I'll actually attempt to make biko. Show the kids the Philippines online. Share with them where 1/4 of their heritage is from.

Totally Talented Tuesday

Back in March, the Ides of March. Ben and the guys went fishing. They actually stayed up all night and then fished all day. I think these are strippers. He brought some home and we still haven't ate them.

Abbie drowned my phone

I don't remember what day it was but Abbie brings me my phone and it is dripping wet. I take it all apart and leave it to dry. I had some hopes it would come back to life, after all, I have washed and dried the kids hand held video games and they still work. My hopes were dashed by one flash on the screen and then straight to black. sigh.... by smart phone.... smart phone I only had since December!!!! maybe it wasn't so smart?? Why didn't it yell for help, lol.

Again, I'm not sure what day it was, maybe friday? idk. I was enjoying my freedom from the phone. The two kids and i left early to go eat lunch before picking up the older kids from school. As we are eating Sonic Bens pulls up and announced we are hard to track down. lol. It was almost 3, he should have been at work, not in our town at our sonic,lol. He hands me a phone. I tell him I don't want it, take it back (i really was enjoying no phone, lol). He says nooooo, take it. It's not a smart phone and that he renewed thomas' cell contract and got the phone for 20$.

So I took it. what else was I suppose to do. It's an LG Banter and I like LG, it's a pretty good phone. If it was a smart phone I'd like it better than my MotoQ. So this is my temp phone untill we plunk down the money for a full price smart phone. I'm going to go with Blackberry this time.

oh, Thomas you ask? Yeah... he has abused his cell phone privilages way to many times by running up the bill. He no longer uses the cell phone.

I broke down and bought 'em

Ok, all our light bulbs literally go out with in the same week. Trust me, by bulb 4-5-6 I'm cussing at it. lol. So, at walmart today i bought a 3 pack of these bulbs. My box said lasts 6 yrs though. I swear I'm keeping the receipt and box and they better last 6 yrs, lol. Oh, and it shines no where near as bright as a 75 watt bulb. My next grocery shopping trip I'll pick up another box and so on until all my bulbs look like little tornados.

Spotlight Sunday- Be Jewelry

Today I want to share with you Be Jewelry.

Let me tell you how I found her. I was searching online for Down Syndrome Awareness (that's another post for later) when i was looking at the images I came across this.

Then I clicked on the image, I just loved what it said. (What a good brother, huh?)
"this pendant was designed by Micah. his little sister has Down syndrome, aka trisomy 21, and this represents three chromosomes on the 21st set, a total of 47 instead of the usual 46. Micah's creativity is AMAZING. :)"
So I looked around her site a little more and saw this bracelet and fell in love with it.

so much so, that I emailed Betsy to ask her if she could make me one with dandelions instead of shamrocks.
After emailing back and forth she had a design in mind and it was going to be a pendant instead of a bracelet cause funny thing is???? I don't wear bracelets or even a watch, lol. I just loved her bracelet :)
The front of my bracelet has 3 dandelions on the it. It's for me, Kaitlen and Abigail. I was going to do something for the boys later. Then Mommy guilt hit me and I definitely didn't want 5 dandelions on the front that would be to much so on the back she put a heart and then the first letter of each of the kids names T.C.K.M.A. The back turned out so great I could really wear the necklace either way. oh, the fly-a-ways on the dandelions, 5 of them are holes that go all the way through,1 for each kid. She came up with that. I knew some were going to go all the way through, but she came up with the 5, one for each kiddo. Yes, she's a mom. mom. to. 4. boys. one of which is a Matthew.... i tell you, it's the name, and it's no coincidence when a child is named Matthew :)


Another item of hers that i really liked was this necklace.

I don't know if you notice, but i do. Her work is very different than what you see floating around the blogosphere. Very unique, very hands on. oh, my pendant is VERY sturdy/hardy. Nothing is going to happen to that. EVER. SERIOUSLY.
Since it's close to Mother's Day I told Ben it was my Mother's Day gift :)

12 Years Ago

Ben and I met :) Tina and I went dancing at the Cowboy Boogie in Anaheim, Ca and Ben asked me to dance.

Here we are at my BIL's graduation from the LAPD academy. I had to call in sick to work, they wouldn't let me have the day off.

Awwww, we were so cute back then. And so YOUNG! lol. We hit it of right from the start. We both wanted lots of kids and liked the same things. We married 8 1/2 months later. Though it took longer to get our family started than we expected, we did pretty good. 5 kids altogether, would have loved 6 but darn pregnancy isn't so easy!
