ETA- i am updating, the 4th officer has passed away :(
updating again- The 4th officer is brain dead and they are keeping him on life support until they figure out the organ donation. Many people will live through his families decision to donate his organs.
I can not imagine what their department and families are going through.
In Remembrance . . .
The Monument
I never dreamed it would be me
The Monument
I never dreamed it would be me
My name for all eternity
Recorded here at this hallowed place
Alas, my name, no more my face.
"In the line of duty" I hear them say
"In the line of duty" I hear them say
My family now the price will pay
My folded flag stained with their tears
We only had those few short years.
The badge no longer on my chest
The badge no longer on my chest
I sleep now in eternal rest
My sword I pass to those behind
And pray they keep this thought in mind.
I never dreamed it would be me
I never dreamed it would be me
And with heavy heart and bended knee
I ask for all here from the past
Dear God, let my name be the last.

How sad..
I just read the story.. I almost wish the gunmen didn't die. So the swat team could of beat the shit out of him..
I know.
It takes some big balls and serious stupidity to pull a gun on an officer. They died hero's. God Bless them and their families.
