Pray for this little girl

My mom called me last night and her husbands 5 year old granddaughter had a lump in her breast and they removed it a while ago and are just now finding out that it was cancerous. She now has to have her breast removed. I don't know anything else that they will be doing for treatment.
Her name is Rayna.

Two more Officers

Officer Tom Ballman and Sergeant William Biggs were shot and killed when a suspect opened fire at a Kirkwood city council meeting. The man had held a grudge against the city council for several years and had filed several lawsuits against the city.The suspect approached Sergeant Biggs across the street from the city hall and asked him what time the meeting started, then pulled out a handgun and shot fatally shot him in the head. The man then took Sergeant Biggs' service weapon and walked across the street into the city hall.When he entered the council chambers he approached Officer Ballman, who was sitting in the front of the room, and also fatally shot him in the head. The man then opened fire on the other occupants of the room, killing two council members and the director of public works before being shot and killed by two other officers.

I don't even know what to say, WTH is going on.

Sick day

Ben is sick and actually had to take a sick day. Here he is infecting loving our other kids.

Codes class gets to make their own V-day box. any way they want! So Cody made a plane with shark teeth. I asked him if he wanted to put Air Shark on the back and he said no, he already put Air Force on the side.

Abbie had to get in the mess of it too. She's turning into a regular Matthew.

She's yours. She was playing in the box and then fell over and started crying so I got her set back up and it was to late. She lost control, LOL.

15 years ago

My Brother-in-Law David Conner was over in Somalia when he was in an accident. My sister was in New York with my then almost 5 month old nephew Brandon. She calls to let us know. Davids brother Greg went to New York and the 3 of them came back to Ca. On Feb 13th my 18 y/o sister had to sign papers to have her 19 y/o husband removed from life support because he is brain dead. On Feb 15th David dies. On Feb 22nd we have his funeral. One of his friends in the military escorted David home. Davids services were at The Crystal Cathedral performed by Dr. Robert Schuller. David was buried next to his father who died a couple years earlier.

Officer Randy Simmons was shot and killed as he and other members of the Los Angeles SWAT Team made entry into a home at approximately 12:30 am. The team had been deployed to the home after a suspect inside called 911 and claimed to have murdered three family members.

As the team entered, the suspect opened fire, striking Officer Simmons and a second officer. Both officers were immediately transported to Northridge Medical Center, where Officer Simmons succumbed to his wounds approximately 30 minutes later.

Officer Simmons had served with the Los Angeles Police Department for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, two children, parents, and three sisters.

* A very sad day for LAPD, Los Angeles in general. Just think. That wife kissed her husband off to work. Kids said see ya later Dad. Then some supid criminal takes him away.

You know what ticks me off. MSN had this story on their front page for a 1/2 a day, but if he had been in a "beating" they, the media would have covered it a whole lot longer and made sure he looked like a bad person.

If Cody was President

Tonight Cody said if he was president that the first thing he'd do is end the war and have everyone sign a peace treaty and then lock it in a safe so the next President couldn't get to it to change it. I was thinking awww you'd make a great President, that's so mature for an 8 y/o boy. Then the 8y/o in him popped out because the next thing he'd do is turn every school in the United States into an arcade with in ground pools :) , but he saved himself with trying to figure out how to achieve world peace, end world hunger and stop pollution. So far, he thinks we should go back to the steam engine.

Julians Mama updated her care page and they are doing Relay For Life® and have a page honoring Julian.

I don't know if you all are still following her care page on Julian but she (his Mama, Mimi) is still posting pics of Julian, his brothers, their family, friends and life. It's sometimes hard to read about the pain she is going through. They have a beautiful family it worth the time if you haven't been there.

Arkansas State Trooper

Sergeant Richard LeBow was killed in an automobile accident on I-40 near Mulberry, at approximately 10:25 am. His patrol car collided head-on with an oncoming tractor trailer. Sergeant LeBow had served with the agency for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and mother.

omgosh, do you remember what today is??

LOL, of course not and only 3 of ya will remember this. One yr ago Ben had the snip!!! No more babies :(. He never went for the followup checks, but apparently it was successful because AF has come and gone several times and well, I'm not pg. What a way to find out if the vas worked LOL.!!
oh, and Ben PTS (post traumatic stress) is being treated successfully with meds, LOL. J/K

Sammie is home

We picked her up today from the vet. She gets eye drops and anitbiotics. Her eye looks normal, that was fast!! She is doing good. Not eating well. I have to give her either chicken and rice or hamburger and rice. I put chicken and rice in the food processor and made up a big batch for today and tomorrow, then I'll switch to hamburger. I'm thinking the grease from the beef might be to much for her right now. She is resting. The dr said the tooth was hard to take out. It was very healthy and he had to go all the way to the bone and break the roots. The tooth wasn't going anywhere, just that it was cracked when the horse kicked her. So she is sore and then of course from being spayed. poor baby. She was happy to be home. She hopped right out of the car and was wagging her stubby tail.
Oh, and Beau the bunny has to stay in the bathroom while Sammie is in the house because Sammie will EAT her!!!!!!!!!! Poor Beau.............
