Spotlight Sunday

My Spotlight Sunday was intended for blogs, websites that I have come across that I really like. Last week you remember I spotlighted Enchanted Dandelions, because I love what she does and what she is all about. She has obviously put a lot of time and effort into making her business and bringing it to wear it is today. WELL, I am Spotlighting someone who flippin stole April's (enchanted Dandelions) pictures from her Etsy site and posted them as her OWN!!
It is Chic to Cheek and she is on Facebook
Remember that ladybug diaper cake from my blog from last week??? Yeah, she claimed it as her own and Not Aprils. And you'll recognize the other diaper cakes as Aprils from her Etsy shop.

This is another site of the thief.

What little Miss thief doesn't realize is she just completely ended her little online 'career' because other blogs can make you or break you and with what she just did she will be black balled. She has other pics on her site of craftiness she claims as hers and I bet it is not. It's very creepy to think there are people like that out their and I'm sorry this happened to April for us to see it. April has filed a Notice of Intellectual Property Infringement via Facebook, so hopefully Facebook will step in too.
Sunday Spotlight:
Yea April, boo stupid thief.

Spotlight Sunday- Enchanted Dandelions

Sorry i missed SS last week. Tina almost had a conniption fit ;) For previous SS go here.

This week I want to introduce you to Enchanted Dandelions. She has her Blog and her Etsy shop and she Tweets.

Well, the other day April had tweeted about how her last set of sensory sacks had sold. Later on that day it got me thinking, not only is she so proactive with her son and his sensory issues but that she makes these very helpful products available to everyone else. Plus she will make custom sacks to fit your childs sensory need. For those of us who sew, this kinda of thing is no biggie, but for those who don't sew, it's a huge deal. They now have options. I just thought it was nice of her to think of others.

Knowing about SPD is new to Ben and I. Knowing, but we've lived with it for 9 years and just didn't know that's what it was. So now it seems I'm bumping into other parents around the net and it is great.

April also makes other super cute and handy dandy items at her shop.

This is a sushi roll!! isn't she creative. Flannel and terry cloth wipes/washcloths.Flaxseed hot/cold pack

oopsie daisy hot/cold pack. That would def make my girls feel better.

Don't worry. She hasn't forgot about the boys...
Beyond cute diaper cake
and this pic!! is a bear. in HER yard. Happens all the time. I'm not kidding. As a matter of fact, twice that I know of yesterday. wowzers.

(all the pics are stolen from April)

Spotlight Sunday- Pay it Forward

I was hopping all over Etsy the other night and came across Cool Harmonie store. I saw she had a PIF tile pendant for sale for 50cents. I thought hmmm, whats PIF..... I click, and it's Pay it Forward!!! She has several items that she offers at a reduced price and you pass on your great deal by paying it forward!! how awesome is that?? really awesome.

Here are some of her tiles. Tina and I are just falling in love with these pendants.

I think I want everyone I see.

Now if this isn't creative then I don't know what is. This is a necklace pendant made from recycled magazines.

Laurie also has other things in her shop. Tile pendants, Nursing necklaces, nursing reminder clips, bracelets and earrings.

She also has a twitter account! so all you twits ;) might want to add her.

Do you pay it forward??

I thought about that after I went to her site. I can't say I have consciously paid it forward, but I try to give as much as I can through out my day, week, life. I'm not talking just giving money. Sometimes it's the little things. Waiting, holding the door for some one even though you know you could have gone through and been long gone before the people behind you got there. Talking to that person in line. It may just change their day. Or talking to the looney guy at the park while your kids are playing. He may have just really needed to talk. There are days IM the person that just really needed to talk, lol.

Check out Cool Harmonie. I think you'll like it.

oh, I also have a surprise for you, but you have to wait just a tad before finding out about it.

Spotlight Sunday- Summer crafts

Here are some activities and links I can think of when summer gets boringggggg.

Photobucket
Everyone love's playdough. Have the added fun of making it your self.

Photobucket
We go through bubbles like crazy here.

Photobucket
Cody makes paper airplanes just about every day.

Photobucket
Bubble art

Photobucket
Newspaper sailor hats

Photobucket
DIY Shrinky Dinks

This is something Cody did one time. he collected twigs and leaves and put them all on a paper plate (the Styrofoam kind) then he poured elmers glue ALL over it. A lot of glue. Let it dry and he ended up with an outdoorsy piece of art. you can always do the glue first and stick the leaves and twigs into the glue.

Spotlight Sunday- Three Peas Co.

For other Spotlight Sunday post go here.

As you know every Sunday I spotlight something I really like that I have come across on the web. This Sunday happens to be a company that I won an outfit from for Kaitlen.
It's not that great of a pic because it was still dark out in the morning. Kaitlen wanted to wear it to school. It's a cute pettiskirt with pink leopard ribbon and a coordinating tank with a pink leopard flower.

Three Peas Co.

What I am actually spotlighting from the company is they actually have a boys line of clothing. Not many stores out there do that and not this cute.

Appliqued tank top
Cool BeaniesVery hip tie on a tank.
Cute matching onesie with a tie and beanieIf you have a little boy and want something unique for him go check out their boys line. If sister wants something too there are lots of adorable girls items.... and you know, you can probably have them do a matching boy/girl set.

(all the boy clothing pics are from Three Peas Co.)

Spotlight Sunday- Be Jewelry

Spotlight Sunday. You can find my other spotlights here.

Today I want to share with you Be Jewelry.

Let me tell you how I found her. I was searching online for Down Syndrome Awareness (that's another post for later) when i was looking at the images I came across this.
Photobucket
Then I clicked on the image, I just loved what it said. (What a good brother, huh?)
"this pendant was designed by Micah. his little sister has Down syndrome, aka trisomy 21, and this represents three chromosomes on the 21st set, a total of 47 instead of the usual 46. Micah's creativity is AMAZING. :)"
So I looked around her site a little more and saw this bracelet and fell in love with it.
Photobucket
so much so, that I emailed Betsy to ask her if she could make me one with dandelions instead of shamrocks.
After emailing back and forth she had a design in mind and it was going to be a pendant instead of a bracelet cause funny thing is???? I don't wear bracelets or even a watch, lol. I just loved her bracelet :)
The front of my bracelet has 3 dandelions on the it. It's for me, Kaitlen and Abigail. I was going to do something for the boys later. Then Mommy guilt hit me and I definitely didn't want 5 dandelions on the front that would be to much so on the back she put a heart and then the first letter of each of the kids names T.C.K.M.A. The back turned out so great I could really wear the necklace either way. oh, the fly-a-ways on the dandelions, 5 of them are holes that go all the way through,1 for each kid. She came up with that. I knew some were going to go all the way through, but she came up with the 5, one for each kiddo. Yes, she's a mom. mom. to. 4. boys. one of which is a Matthew.... i tell you, it's the name, and it's no coincidence when a child is named Matthew :)
Photobucket
Photobucket
Another item of hers that i really liked was this necklace.
Photobucket
I don't know if you notice, but i do. Her work is very different than what you see floating around the blogosphere. Very unique, very hands on. oh, my pendant is VERY sturdy/hardy. Nothing is going to happen to that. EVER. SERIOUSLY.
Since it's close to Mother's Day I told Ben it was my Mother's Day gift :)

When you go over to Be Jewelry be sure to click on The Beckoning link. It'll end up taking you to youtube and it is really neat.
