my Dad got a puppy

My dad got a puppy yesterday. I think he named him Bandit. My dad is so excited he even told the breeder that he wasn't even this excited when his own kids were born. (thanks poppy) He has spent over 150$ on line at petsmart, lol and who knows how much more at the local stores. I think someone needs to throw dad a baby shower.

Totally Talented Tuesday

This is my nephews cake from his birthday party on Sunday. My sister-in-law made it. She made Cody one like that a couple years ago and she is going to make Matthew one to but make like the Red power Ranger or something. Pretty Cool!!

May is Asian Heritage Month

I had no idea!! I definitely think that a trip to our favorite Filipino restaurant is in order. Maybe I'll actually attempt to make biko. Show the kids the Philippines online. Share with them where 1/4 of their heritage is from.
Betty and Bill should be here. Isn't that what grandparents are for. They would have been telling the kids about it the whole time.

Dad update

Tina finally talked to the Dr and the problem was a combination of the dye they injected into Dad for the procedure and all the darn meds he is on. So they are adjusting his meds and he is to get a real Dr and stop this VA crap.


Thank you everyone for the prayers. If all goes as planned he should go home tomorrow.

Update on Dad

Tina finally got to Portland and I finally got to talk to Dad. He sounded good. That made me feel so much better. They are trying to figure out what is making his blood pressure and heart rate drop. He's had a CT, MRI and echo done and all seems fine. The Dr will be in later tonight, but they talked to the nurse who talked to the cardio dr who says he may be getting a pacemaker. I'll update as I know more.

My Dad

Please pray for our Dad. He is in the hospital with low BP and a low heart rate. Yesterday he had a procedure done where they go up you femoral artery and into the heart (angiogram??) That's when it happened/started. Please pray they 'fix' it.

Prayers please

My sister went to the Dr for girlie stuff and he didn't like several things that he was feeling and drew blood to test for ovarian cancer and she has an ultrasound this afternoon. If you can pray about that please :)

Me, Matthew, Kaitlen and Cody all have a cold. I was thinking allergies at first, but nope. suckie, suckie.

So here is a little flashback Friday for you.
Kaitlen in the creek eating a rock. She was about 10 months old.

When auntie Tina came to visit :) wanna hear something bad. I still have that dress Kaitlen is wearing and the shirt Cody is wearing. Ok, and the sandals Cody is wearing. I probably have the shorts, but they are jean shorts so hard to tell with all the other jean shorts, lol.

Somalia :: Operation Restore Hope

16 years ago, Tina called Moms house, Feb 6th, to tell her David had been in an accident. Mom was at work and i answered the phone. From there on I don't remember much. Tina's BIL flew back to NY to bring Tina and Brandon home to Cali. On Feb 13th my 18 y/o sister had to sign papers to have her 19 y/o husband removed from life support because he was brain dead. On Feb 15th David dies. On Feb 22nd we have his funeral. One of his friends in the military escorted David home. Davids services were at The Crystal Cathedral and performed by Dr. Robert Schuller. David was buried next to his father who died a couple years earlier. The month of February happens to be the shortest month in the calendar year, but it's the longest month for our family.

David was a sweet and funny man. He loved kids. He would play with Thomas before Brandon was born and just make Thomas giggle by barking at him. it was funny. I remember the one thing David couldn't wait to buy Brandon was striped boys socks.

This passed April the Conner family was all reunited in heaven. David's brother Greg passed away several yrs ago and then Sheila, The matriarch, unexpectedly passed away just this passed April.

Our first trip to Tijuana

I found this a awhile ago but just scanned it. That's my brother Michael with his oldest son Kevin. In the back is my SIL Suzanne, then me and Tina. We were 12 years old. I remember Tina being so afraid of catching lice from the hat.

Made me homesick

I just saw my hometown on my live feed. Westminster, Ca. I'm going to assume it was Wendy. (hi Wendy, i miss you) It made me think of our awesome street, Strait street. Playing dingdong ditch 'em and a neighborhood wide hide and seek. FUN FUN FUN. jumping fences, walking in the ditches (these are not country ditches those of you in my neck of the woods) running after the rabbit in the nursery. Going to the candy mans house (lol, sounds creepy but they are actually family threw marriage and he got the nickname candy man cause he distributed candy and also sold some out of his home) painting little Dereks playhouse blue and ourselves. spending the night on Wendy's trampoline. Eating crab apples with salt while in the jacuzzi. Then ofcourse the neighborhood 4th of July block party..........

Today is the 120th Tournament of roses parade!!! Do you watch it?? or is it just because im from S. Ca. LOL

95th Rose Bowl!! and USC is in it. Go USC!!

My BIL's house

I Don't think I've ever showed you all his house. I believe its was a year ago Thanksgiving that it was finished. It's a very cool house.

This is the top level. It has the kitchen, family room, office area, master room, 1 kid bedroom and then kinda like a studio apt( like a MIL house, but inside there house) with two beds, fridge, stove, table area, sink.

This is the back and it has a walk in basement. There is the family room, 2 bedrooms, game/toy room and they there is a whole area not used for anything yet and i swear its the size of our house, lol. They also have a safe room for tornado season and its come in handy im sure!!

Emily's Dress

I made Emily's dress today. I didn't have enough fabric to do the circle skirt attached to the shirt but i had enough to make her a separate skirt and shirt. I hope she likes it :)
