Infinite Faith

My new tattoo. Since my husband at the age of 38 was dx'd with prostate cancer and had a successful surgery and 6 months post prostatectomy remains cancer free I have eternal faith in the lord that he will let us grow old and grey together and enjoy our children growing up, and having grandbabies, and many, many, many years of marriage under our belts.

Great deal

I mentioned earlier that our cake maker is moving to New Zealand. She is having a garage sale and I stopped by. Just about everything was marked 25cents. So i got about 10 cake/cupcake pans and this hanging organizer. I have been wanting to get something for the kids school clothes. Every night i set out their clothes and with this i can get it ready for the whole week. tops, bottoms, underwear and socks. very cool. I can also hang Kaitlen's dresses.

Ok, I saw @mckmama tweet about Arnold Schwarzenegger, @schwarzenegger, and thought it was pretty cool that he has a twitter account. When Cody saw his tweet page he got excited to see the Terminator! and stated that he wants to move back to Ca so that Schwarzenegger could be his Governor. Sooooooooo, when Cody went off to bed i sent Mr. Arnold a tweet with what Cody said.

It seriously NEVER crossed my mind that he'd tweet back!!! i came to check out my emails and there it was!!

and here is what he said. Tina said he probably sends that to everyone, but I don't care! He spent the time to send it is what is cool.

So After Codys Medical career (remember) and he becomes Gov of Arkansas, he will have this tweet, lol. Now I need to get something from a President so he has something for when he is President of the USofA.

My MRI results

I went for my follow up appointment with Dr. H. My liver panel came back great and the liver is functioning normal. My cystic ducts are clear and there are no residual stones left, which is what he expected. The only thing that was seen was a 1cm fibrosis spot on my liver. He says that is from the surgery and that the rest of my pain is most likely from adhesions. The radiologist wants to repeat an MRI in 6 months to check on the spot. Dr H says that its nothing to worry about, that if radiology was worried they'd want me to follow up in 3 months or 6 weeks and that's not the case. So, in 6 months i'll follow up with Dr H and we'll talk more about the adhesions. Right now i'm just going to live with them.

Abbie drowned my phone

I don't remember what day it was but Abbie brings me my phone and it is dripping wet. I take it all apart and leave it to dry. I had some hopes it would come back to life, after all, I have washed and dried the kids hand held video games and they still work. My hopes were dashed by one flash on the screen and then straight to black. sigh.... by smart phone.... smart phone I only had since December!!!! maybe it wasn't so smart?? Why didn't it yell for help, lol.

Again, I'm not sure what day it was, maybe friday? idk. I was enjoying my freedom from the phone. The two kids and i left early to go eat lunch before picking up the older kids from school. As we are eating Sonic Bens pulls up and announced we are hard to track down. lol. It was almost 3, he should have been at work, not in our town at our sonic,lol. He hands me a phone. I tell him I don't want it, take it back (i really was enjoying no phone, lol). He says nooooo, take it. It's not a smart phone and that he renewed thomas' cell contract and got the phone for 20$.

So I took it. what else was I suppose to do. It's an LG Banter and I like LG, it's a pretty good phone. If it was a smart phone I'd like it better than my MotoQ. So this is my temp phone untill we plunk down the money for a full price smart phone. I'm going to go with Blackberry this time.

oh, Thomas you ask? Yeah... he has abused his cell phone privilages way to many times by running up the bill. He no longer uses the cell phone.

I broke down and bought 'em

Ok, all our light bulbs literally go out with in the same week. Trust me, by bulb 4-5-6 I'm cussing at it. lol. So, at walmart today i bought a 3 pack of these bulbs. My box said lasts 6 yrs though. I swear I'm keeping the receipt and box and they better last 6 yrs, lol. Oh, and it shines no where near as bright as a 75 watt bulb. My next grocery shopping trip I'll pick up another box and so on until all my bulbs look like little tornados.

Ben and I met :) Tina and I went dancing at the Cowboy Boogie in Anaheim, Ca and Ben asked me to dance.

Here we are at my BIL's graduation from the LAPD academy. I had to call in sick to work, they wouldn't let me have the day off.

Awwww, we were so cute back then. And so YOUNG! lol. We hit it of right from the start. We both wanted lots of kids and liked the same things. We married 8 1/2 months later. Though it took longer to get our family started than we expected, we did pretty good. 5 kids altogether, would have loved 6 but darn pregnancy isn't so easy!

Paper or Plastic?

I went to the store after picking the kids up from school and she asked me paper or plastic? I looked at my stuff and said that it was ok, I didn't need either. She gave me the weirdest look (like I'd grown a horn out of my head) and said, really?.... yeah.. really. I had a case of water, a gallon of milk, cereal, and juice. Nothing needed to be bagged. I think it kinda stressed her out, lol.

Are you worried about the Swine Flu?

I'm just wondering what every ones thoughts were right know since it's fairly new out in the news. I know Americans are fairing it pretty well, with only one hospitalized and no deaths. Mexico isn't doing so well with many people dieing and that is scary to me. It has spread outside of North America. It's kinda the whole unknown thing, is it going to plateau not far from where we are at or is it going to make history.

At times I feel fine about it but then I think of Kaitlen. She's my sickly one. All of my kids can get the same virus and shes down and out twice as hard and twice as long. She'll get the fever, ear inf, Bronchitis, laryngitis (she just got over that) and of course pneumonia. With her poor immune system and the fact that it's the pneumonia that's killing the people with the flu, that's what's scary to me. Then I have Matthew. He'll catch the same cold as everyone and it will only last half the amount of time it normally does with the other kids. He has an awesome immune system. Both Kaitlen and Matthew were breast fed and kaitlen for A LOT LONGER THAN MATTHEW! (and Matthew was for almost 2 yrs) so no one can argue the whole formula vs breast thing.

When i was looking for an image for this post i found this article and it was from two yrs ago. I thought it was interesting, it felt unfinished, but interesting.

My Wal-mart adventure

On Wednesday after I picked up all the kids I headed to Walmart to get some groceries. Thomas sat in the car with the kids while I ran in. I get everything i needed and go check out. The cashier was overly chatty, but that was ok. I go to leave with my cart and I see a guy spit something onto the floor and walk away. He had his little boy with him. So when I passed where he was I looked and the stupid idiot spit his frikkin tobacco juice/spit onto the floor thinking no one would see. I got so mad and disgusted. He was ahead of me so I wasn't going to run after him, but then for some reason he decided not to leave the store (maybe he remembered, oh yeah, I don't need to go outside and spit, i just dun it on the floor in walmart) He turned around and came back my way and I said to him," you just spit on the floor!" He ignored me and kept walking..... He's a winner and his little boy is going to be just like him. sad.
After Walmart I need to run down to Hobby Lobby and take some pics of fabric. I do that real quick and decide to stop off at Ben's work since we will be passing by it. As soon as I get there the traffic over his radio is saying something about a guy with a knife at walmart. The walmart I left 40 minutes ago. I left the PD and as i get to the main rd EMS is on it's way to Walmart. Here is the sad ending to this story and thankfully no one else was hurt. And no, it wasn't the guy that spit the tobacco, but Ben informed me I'm not aloud to call out anyone on anything anymore, because you never know.

I just got an email from April 9th in my inbox today! It was a blog comment email. Now I've known for about a week? that my email is screwed up, but that's ridiculous. I'll be calling my phone company tomorrow, I just had them out here on tues for connection problems, grrrr. I had my follow up appointment

Yesterday I went to my appt with the Dr who took my gallbladder out. He went over my CT with us. Everything looked really good. He wants to make sure I don't have any stones in my bile duct and to find out what is causing my pain. He doesn't think it's stones, but he has to rule everything out before he can say it's adhesions. So I will be scheduled for an MRI. I've never had one before, but I'm not claustrophobic so I'm sure it won't bother me. While I'm at the hospital he wants me to have blood work done. LFT's and I'm not sure if it was a Lipase or Amylase too. I'll update that later.

Ok, there was a funny moment! Now, my Dr is a very fun, likable, and personable. You are instantly comfortable with him. Well, he was showing us this one part of the report and I don't remember what it said, but basically it was referring to my fat. He actually pinched my fat stomach indicating that's why it said it in the report, LMAO!!! and he looked at Ben and said him too!!!! HAHA. Anyway, I'm glad he's not afraid to say someone is fat. Most Dr's are.

UPDATE- it's a MRCP, which makes sense.

Pink eye

I haz it. Thanks Abbie. She has a cold and she always gets it in her eyes too. So she decided to share it with me and I woke up with goopy, puffy, red eyes. I look hot!! I just hope the school kids don't get it. Abbie is a trooper. She's rocking her baby and eating grapefruit right now.

I Heart Potatoes

I was putting the potatoes up and notice a conjoined potato. Cute. I should plant that one and have our own special conjoined twin potato patch, lol.

I'm so doing it

I emailed my order in for 25 chicks. They normally sell them in lots of 50, but if someone wants the other 25 then they will do it. They will grow up to look like this and the Hens will lay our eggs and the Roosters- well, just call them dinner. Once I get the hang of it I'll order more chicks.

Chick update: we are getting them in May/June (next batch)so that it's warmer and I have more time to learn and prepare for them.

Today

My kids are much better today so Ben and i are going to take them to the museum. Cody has informed me that we get to see a really, really, really, really old TV, you know, the kind you have to get up and CHANGE the channel.
Um Cody, they are not THAT old!!! dang! We had one growing up.

Oh, have to share part of my dream. I was dreaming there was a bird chewing on one of those beak things to keep their beak filed. In my dream someone said open your eyes and look at the bird and I actually opened my eyes and it was Matthew grinding his teeth in his sleep, LOL. I laughed and went back to sleep.
