Matthews Costume

Red Ranger Matthew. Everytime we got a Halloween costume catalog he'd have me tear out the power ranger page. it wasnt hard to figure out that he wanted to be a Power Ranger. He was so excited when the package came. He kept saying,"me,me,me". Kaitlen has two costumes a tinkerbell and a snow princess. Her auntie got her tink and last yr Betty got her the snow princess one. She never wore it last yr . So she'll wear one to the church get together and one out trick-or-treating. Cody is still not sure, something scary im guessing.
Edited: boy if you read this before i edited it you probably thought i was tipping the bottle. It made no sense, LOL. I wasnt drunk, just a bad, bad pounding headache.

Fridays Thunderstorm

We had a bad storm come on Fri and our trees took a beating. This on had a limb come down, its hard to see it since it fell forward.

Cody's snowsuit

1st day of school

Today Thomas started HS and Cody went into the 1st grade. I dropped Cody off first and almost made Thomas late for his first day. The school changed there routine and we did alot of walking to get to to class and then I had to walk all the way back to the car. Im not so sure if was the length of the walk or the slow pokes I was stuck walking behind, with noway around. If a pg woman is on your tale while walking you are going to slow. When i went to pick them up from school i stopped off and picked up a cake. I wasn't racing the clock this time i was racing the storm and the storm won. M was asleep and i was holding him while getting the cake and we picked out stuff to do the writing on it and by the time we were checking out it was pouring so hard outside. i put the cake on a bench and run the kids to the car and go back and grab the cake and head back to the car and somehow it was raining even harder. I was soaked but the kids were only a little damp. so while waiting for Cody to get out i write Happy 1st day of School '06. The wind was blowing so hard it would rock our car. I'd like to blame the messy writing on the cake from that, but i can't. I havent uploaded that pic, but i will later.

Vacation Destination

We are getting a jump start on planning our vacations. Cody complained that none of our vacations this yr left the state of Ar. Never mind the fact that we crawled all over the state of Ar. We have blamed not going anywhere far on Miss Abigail. Ben needs to save his time for when she's born. So, next yr, Spring Break, we are heading to California were we will be hitting Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, HB (shop, shop, shop) then on up to Santa Barbara and Solvang. Im sure we will also squeeze Nipomo in there for a Jocko's steak. After that on to Vegas to see my mom and the kids really like the Madalay Bay Shark Reef. Then in the summer Ben wanted to do a cruise but Cody says that they are dangerous, they sink. Even proved it to us because there was a movie made based on a true story. You know which one Im talking about... Titanic... boy what am i going to do with him. So we are going to The Nickelodeon Hotel!!!!! Which everyone agreed looks really cool. A bit of wisdom, DO NOT mention to your kids what you plan for vacation unless you want to here "is it time to go yet" about 3 times a day untill destination day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;o)

Nikon D50

Ok, We settled on the Nikon D50. Ben got it for me today :o) it's for my birthday. He actually said he had planned on getting me a Dyson for my birthday (never asked him for one, lol) bet i'll have more fun with my camera. I'm not spoiled, just loved......... actually he mentioned something about not wanting to hear me, a pregnant woman, whine about it....... Have no idea what he's talking about ;o)

Trying to convince Ben

To get me this camera!!! It's the Nikon D70 and i'm sure it'll be the end of my camera shopping. I have had 4 cameras in 9 yrs. None of them as nice as this one. I really wouldnt need another one after this one and if you add up the cost of all my other cameras it would buy this one. ( i should tell him that, huh!!) wish me luck on my birthday present quest.

New carpet

We had new carpet put in the den, I know it looks white here but trust me it's not. I guess it's a very pale beige with speckeled grey??? carpet fibers. It looked darker at the store, but i like it anyway. For those who have been in my house you might remember the built in cabinets and shelves on either side of the fire place. We took them out. I took down the shelves and Ben tore out the cabinets. He complained the whole time thinking for sure that i was getting him into something that we couldnt fix. It all turned out great and now we have 2 extra feet of usable space!!!!!!!! we put the L shape sofa in the garage untill we can get it re-apolstered and are using the furniture from the livingroom. and that paneling you ask??? we are going to put natural wood running horizonal to cover the paneling. It will make the room so much lighter. it has really been like living in a den, just so dark. speaking of dark we will be updating the light fixtures i just dont know to what yet. It would be nice if this happened before Abigail arrived but i dont think it will. you might notice that there are NO TOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!. i am turning the living room into a play room for the kids. We are short on bedrooms so there is no room in the rooms for toys ect. I tore up the carpet in the living room (which is what started this whole revamping of the house) there are hard wood floors and ben has been working on those during his free time and hopfully they will be done by this weekend. Then the kitchen. we were supose to get laminate put in on Wed but i guess are floor isnt level enough for laminate and the tongue and groove atttachment would eventually break so we are going with linolium that is padded and looks like wood. so that'll be good, easy to clean, kid friendly and a 10 yr warranty. Now later, later. my plan is to sand the cabinets in the kitchen to make them lighter and i dont like the "shade" to them they are kinda yellowy, i believe someone referrred to it as butterscotch. im so yellowed out. so i'll make sure a clear coat is put back on after the sanding. Ben is pretty sick of sanding and i think it would be worth hiring someone, we'll see. I hate to part with money when i know we could do it. I'll share pics of the livingroom when it's done. Geez, this got longer than i intented.

Sergeant Velasco

A couple weeks ago Ben went through the Sgt's testing and today he found out that he got it!!!!! Him and two other officers were promoted today. So we are going out to dinner tomorrow and I'll get him a cake. Another cool thing is that one of his friends that he worked with in L.A. is going to try and come back here. They have two boys, one Codes age (actually a yr younger because she was pg when we went on a cruise together and Cody just turned one) and one Kaitlens age. To bad they didnt keep going like we did, LOL. It'll be great if they do come out here.

The best duster

The Webster duster works great. We had it when we were a teen and it was actually fun to dust. Well, I thought, I wonder if they still make them? and through my freind, the internet, I was able to find it. I ordered one. It should be here in a couple days!!!!!I would post the picture of it but blogger isn't being nice today.

Then here is the tutu im going to order. I'll put a black bodysuit on them both and take pictures. Now, the hard part is guessing everyones sizes for an unknown time in the future. I figure we'll do the pictures when the shoes fit Abigail. Maybe at 3 months old??? So in Feb. Im hopeing K's shoes are a little big on her. We'll see when they arrive.

I also just bought them matching pink dresses while at walmart. I'll take pics of those later. Boy, Christmas pics are going to be fun!!!!!!! you'll probably be able to gag on all the matchingness going on. LOL

Cody and I just got done with a conversation reguarding Alien VS Preditor and which one was impervious to what element. Actually i listened while Cody explained the ins and outs of it all.

Cody kills us sometimes because he always use 10$ words that we have no idea where he got them from. He's been doing it since he was a really little guy and lots of people always comment on the way he thinks and says things, I'm guessing it's his pops gene coming through Cody, boy he'd give Bill a run for his money, I can imagine the conversations they'd have.

They are both out of the same class #294, actually they are the same age. They use to go to the Cowboy Boogie together during the academy and Ben was telling me how he'd stay at the apts across from the academy because the drive from his home was to far. Thats were his friend worked now, at the STAR center. There is a wall there and when ever you walk by it you hope in your heart of hearts that your loved one never get his name put up there. So, so sad

ok, my blog freaked out and i couln't add these last night, but here they are.

Here is Matthew eating a quesadilla at his Birthday dinner. He turned two while at dinner and the waitress happened to ask how old he was and we told her that is was his Birthday and that he turned to so she gave him a big hug.

Don't go hiking in a long dress, LOL. we weren't planning on them climbing rocks when we headed out that day.

Matthews Birthday Party

We celebrated Matthews birthday on the 4th. The kids had a great time. We Bar-B-Qued and had potato salad, macaroni salad and chips and salsa. Everything was great. We did have some good thunderstorms though. They did clear up for some swimming and fireworks.

I walked into the bedroom because it sounded like they are having way to much fun and there were a bunch of stuffed animals on the ground. I totally busted my butt in there with the toys and dolls and stuffed animals. I said," come on you guys, thats not fare" Kaitlen says (matter of factly) " lifes not fare" i said "o' really" her- "nope, it really isn't"

Going on a trip, in our favorite rocketship

OK, if you have kids you know were that title came from.
Since moving here, there are a couple fast food places that we actually miss. Actually there are alot of restuarants in Ca that they just don't have anything compairable here. So back to the fast food places since they are chains and reach almost to Arkansas. The two I'm talking about are Jack in the Box and Weinerschnitzel. We use to have Weinerschnitzel after every football game, yep, it was a little overkill but i could definitly go for some now and JITB monster tacos.... yum.... It just so happens that both of these place are located in Ok. One in Ok city and the other in Ada. I've been wanting to go back to OK City for a while now to go back to the memorial. We've been twice, but still havn't made it to the museum. It's quit an emotional place. The first time we went was one our way to Ar. for a vacation and we brought one of Bens LASD patches to put on the fence. I pinned it up next to a tiny toddler shoe, her shoe was white and her name was written on the side of it but faded from the sun. I'd like to go see her shoe again, hopefully her mom or dad has rewrittened her name so I know who she is. So i imagine this summer we will make a trip to OKC. I know i have taken a pic of the shoe, but this was way before we had digital and I'd have to dig the picture up. I know it's not in an album. I'll see if i can find it.

Matthew and Christians Birthday invite

We went with the football theme. The kids should have a blast. We are heading out of town for this. So it'll be like a mini vacation and birthday party.

Bens Ghosts

I doubt any of you know that Ben sees ghosts. He actually sees them alot. Well, we were just mentioning it's been a while since he has seen any. *jinx* so he sees one tonight. I was looking up Mr noodle on the internet and he says "we just had a visitor" i looked at him and he pointed into the livingroom. I said oh, really (no big deal, it's about time right?) well ben says he's there again. the next thing i see Ben doing is holding his hand in a way to block his own veiw from the living room. I said what are you doing? He says well it making me sick to see him. I guess they were both kinda *peeking* in on each other. lol. I told Ben to tell it to go away, to leave. It doesnt know any better. I guess he didnt want to talk to it. But it's gone. There was no need for me to get up and look, because i wasn't going to beable to see it. One time i was walking behind Ben into the living room Ben shouts did you see that? and had goose bumps and hair on end, an orb had come straight at him and i totally didnt see it. Once he saw a littel girl in our room. there has been alot more stuff here, but he also saw stuff in Ca. Maybe one day I'll post most of his sightings.
