This week's challenge is go to your 11th folder and get the 11th picture or get it from your September 2007 folder.
My 11th folder only had 1 pic in that i have already posted and I don't have '07 folders they are all jumbled together in 9,000 pics so I closed my eyes and scrolled and clicked and this is Kaitlen, Thanksgiving '05 at my MIL's house.
For more pics head over to Jenn's blog.

Barn Cats
We keep barn cats. 1) to keep the mice out of our house. 2) keep snakes away. 3)because Ben is allergic to cats and loving pet cats do not make out in the country. We have tried.
So our barn cats are not our pets and i no longer name them.
So meet Sparkles... I said i don't name them, lol. She is a tiny 6 month old female that we got from a different town. Her mama was a barn cat and that's all she has known.

This is Chief. He is Sparkles half older brother. None of us named Chief. He came to us with that name. His owner is a cop too.
No need to call PETA or the ASPCA. Sparkles was not hurt or injured in any way in the next sequence of pictures.
You see puppy? He arrived today. Ab was a little unsure as he was so shiny and perfect. So i showed her puppy's friend that came with him and she got so excited and started saying," Machew, machew, a puppy for you". so sweet, she gave him the puppy. Puppy freshened up after his long trip with a nice hot bath with all of us and was transformed into his old gruff looking self. All was good.
Here is orange male cat who we see about once a month. His name is Sunshine, i'm sure he appreciates such a manly name.

Two other cats showed up last week. One is a striped male and the other is a black cat. I have no idea if it's male or female. They won't come anywhere near us, but they have decided to live here.

Please sign this petition
Officer Danny Faulkner was MURDERED and now people want to name a street after the COP KILLER. There has been a petition started to stop this. Please sign this petition. And also, please do not eat Ben and Jerry's they have supported this cop killer. Back in LA, we were asked by LASD to boycott B&J and we have. To this day i have never had B&J, and never will.

On December 9, 1981, at approximately 3:55 a.m., Officer Danny Faulkner, a five year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department, made a traffic stop at Locust Street near Twelfth Street. The car stopped by Officer Faulkner was being driven by William Cook. After making the stop, Danny called for assistance on his police radio and requested a police wagon to transport a prisoner. Unbeknownst to him, William Cook's brother, Wesley (aka Mumia Abu-Jamal) was across the street. As Danny attempted to handcuff William Cook, Mumia Abu-Jamal ran from across the street and shot the officer in the back. Danny turned and was able to fire one shot that struck Abu-Jamal in the chest; the wounded officer then fell to the pavement. Mumia Abu-Jamal stood over the downed officer and shot him four more times at close range, once directly in the face. Mumia Abu-Jamal was found still at the scene of the shooting by officers who arrived there within seconds. The murderer was slumped against the curb in front of his brother's car. In his possession was a .38 caliber revolver that records showed Mumia had purchased months earlier. The chamber of the gun had five spent cartridges. A cab driver, as well as other pedestrians, had witnessed the brutal slaying and identified Mumia Abu-Jamal as the killer both at the scene and during his trial. On July 2, 1982, after being tried before a jury of ten whites and two blacks, Mumia Abu-Jamal was convicted of murdering Officer Danny Faulkner. The next day, the jury sentenced him to death after deliberating for two hours. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania heard the defendant's appeals and upheld the conviction on March 6, 1989.
Officer Danny Faulkner joined the ranks of those courageous officers who have given their lives to keep our nation's streets safe and free. Danny and his wife, Maureen, had been married only slightly more than a year. Now, she was left a widow with only her memories of the young officer to comfort her and dreams of the life they could have shared together. Danny and Maureen Faulkner are the real victims of that horrible night in December, 1981. It is for them that we seek justice and the reason this site stands strong today. Please visit the many places on this site put together to help create awareness. Remember to spread the word.

Ash Wednesday
Ok, I didn't even realize today was Wednesday, let alone Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. My MIL was the one that kept us on track in Ca. So, I have messed up today, but on the Fridays we won't be eating meat.
Here is some info on Lent for those who want to read. It's a "refresher course" :)
Do you participate in Lent?

I Won
Abbie will be happy. I didn't win the original bid. Someone outbid me and someone else tried to outbid them. The thing is there are SEVERAL Tiny's for a total of 5$ on ebay. So i hopped over to another auction that i didn't see earlier and it ended sooner. It was .99¢ for two beanie babies. Tiny and Tracker and shipping was 4$ so it worked out really well. Thank you Patty and Krimsin for offering yours.
I'm sure Abigail is going to wonder how Puppy ended up in the mail and with a friend. LOL.

Lost Puppy
Abigail has lost her puppy named Puppy. Last night was rough. I cant find it anywhere. So i found her? on ebay for 5$ with shipping. If all goes well she will be a happy girl when it arrives here on Wed or Thurs...
MySpace Countdowns
Oh, and if you dare outbid me I'll come at you like a spider monkey!! not kidding here! ;)
Dish Network :)
We have Dish network and we are happy with them, but the other day i received an add for Direct tv and it looked like and awesome deal. So i told ben to call Dish and see if our contract had ended. It had :) so he told them the deal direct tv had and could they match it. The first guy say for 99$ a month. That was twice what direct was asking. The guy sends us to the customer appreciation dept and Ben starts talking to him. He tells Ben to stop saying what Direct can do for you and let me tell you what dish can do for you. :) When all was said and done we are getting our channels, plus local channels, installation, HD channels, DVR service, DVR upgrade and HBO, Starz and SHOWTIME (movie channels for 3 months) 3 recievers- 1 for the den, 1 for the livingroom (for kids video games and cartoons), 1 for our bedroom...... all for 6$ cheaper than what we are paying now!!! lol. yea us!

Abigail's 1st ER trip
We were just about to put dinner in the oven and Abbie fell on the concrete and hit her cheek. She was crying really hard. I had expected a bloody mouth so I'm looking in her mouth and nothing. I look at her face and see her tears have blood in them. Bloody tears streaming down her cheek, bloody tears building up in her eyes. Freaked us out. There was no cut or anything, this was coming from her tear ducts like that. Her cheek was really swollen, like someone had stuffed it with gauze.
So we head on out to the ER and on the way i see red under her eye so i think well maybe it was a cut and i get her out of her carseat and get a wipie and it wipes away. It was an eye boogie with blood on it. Well, all this makes her cry again and sure enough there is blood in her tears.
They check her in right away and she starts crying because the nurse is touching her and her tears are clear. What a relief. Oh, i had to do her temp in her mouth because if we couldn't get an oral temp the only other way they are aloud to do it is rectal. Ab would have double freaked. We get into a room and wait, and wait, and wait. Abbie is really thirsty by then, but wasn't aloud to have anything to drink. I told her after the Dr sees here we'll get her a juice. Finally the Dr comes in and checks her (she cries) he feels around, checks her mouth, her eyes and all is good. Says she may or may not end up with a bruise on her cheek. As soon as the Doc backed away from her she stopped crying (juice remember) and as soon as Dr left the room she asked for her juice. The child doesn't miss a beat. We had the nurse get her a juice. I'm sure it'll show as like a 10$ item on our bill, lol.
(she was telling me,"no, mommy, no" she didn't want me to take a pic)

Kaitlen in the creek eating a rock. She was about 10 months old.
When auntie Tina came to visit :) wanna hear something bad. I still have that dress Kaitlen is wearing and the shirt Cody is wearing. Ok, and the sandals Cody is wearing. I probably have the shorts, but they are jean shorts so hard to tell with all the other jean shorts, lol.

Wordless Wednesday
I pulled up the carpet from the den. We are going to put tile down. With Ben's schedule I am not sure when we are putting the tile down, but I am just so happy to have the carpet up. With only 1 out of the 5 kids following the rules, the carpet took to much of a beating. Yes, Cody was the rule follower.
For more WW head on over to Momdot!!

Momdot review contest
Thermo scanner. I had a Philips brand when they first came out to use on Cody. It was recommended by his Urologist because it's so easy and I was going to be taking his temp several times a day. Cody has long outgrown his kidney problem, though his left kidney is deformed, it works as good as your and mine. :)
Over one Momdot Reviews you have the chance to win one from Exergen I can only imagine the advances they have made in the last 10 years on these things. So, head on over and check it out!!
