Ok, I was on eBay tonight. (when am I not, I know). I needed to go checkout something at Walmart. Instead of typing it in the address bar i accidentally typed it into the eBay search. There were auctions for walmart gift cards and people were spending more than what the gift card was worth. I don't get it

Ben was on a post today for overtime and a "cat" came through his legs rubbing his leg and he was thinking that this cat really liked him and he went to go pet it(Ben never pets cats he cannot stand them so this was odd, but he thought the cat was too friendly to not pet) and saw it was a SKUNK!! lol. He jumped up and screamed like a girl and his LT came running over thinking Ben needed help(funny he knew that was Bens girly scream) He saw the skunk and he too ran. The skunk started after them, lol. The skunk licked the outside of Bens soda so he doesn't have a soda anymore.
If i was there i would have peed my pants. I also would have pet the skunk, got myself bit and ended up with the rabies series. so it was good i wasn't there.

Cody's Birthday gift

Cody asked for a metal detector and we said we would get him one. we have 5 acres and are in a civil war battle field area. I know he is hoping to find some stuff from the battle.

Want to hear something creepy. There is a tree out in the field that was used to hang slaves. It has fallen to the ground, but it's still out there.

Today when I was waiting in line at the school I was thinking what would he really want and that would totally surprise him. A SHARK JAW!!! and here it is. I just won it tonight off eBay. He is going to flip when he sees it. He's not your typical 8 y/o.

well, in Kaitlen's world. Kennedy played with her today. :) That's just how girls are. They'll soon learn how to juggle multiple friends at one time.

While we were in the car i asked Kaitlen about her birthday party. It's not until Oct but i have to get a head start on these things. She is so EXCITED!! she wants to invite all the girls from her class and then their is family and friends. It could get bigger than i want. She also said she wants a sleep over. I tried to explain that in Kindergarten that's probably not going to happen. The parents don't know us. I told her Emily (her cousin) can stay the night. She was happy with that.

My Mammo

Was clear!!! What a relief. They even did a breast ultrasound too. That was extremely normal too. So i don't need a mammo again until im 40 and then yearly after that. For now i just have my yearly pap and breast exam at my MD's.

Ok, the actual mammogram. You hear horror stories. "squished like a pancake", "so barbaric it had to be made by a man". I was so flippin nervous when i went in and after she did my lt breast i was like THAT'S IT?!?!?!?!? I even asked her why people make up all these horror stories, thats not really fair ladies!! so she continued on to my Rt and then side views of Lt and then Rt. Done. there was no pain and on a discomfort scale from 0-10 it was a big fat zero! I'd take a mammo over a pap any day.
Now if someone has a tumor/cyst/surgery/radiation i can see there being pain/discomfort. but for your normal everyday person going for their routine mammo, not seeing it.

School Fundraiser!!!

Ok, If you live in Arkansas this is pretty handy to have. Its a booklet of places to use your school partners card that you conveniently put on your key change. There are tons of places to use this at and the place where we get our oil changed gives 3$ off the oil change. So we get our money back just from our oil changes :). The booklet my kids school is selling is good for the entire state of Arkansas plus several cities in Mo (Branson, crane, forsyth, hollister, lampe, reeds spring, ridgedale)and Tx (athens, atlanta, mt pleasant, new boston, texarkana)
Each booklet is 10$. let me know if you want one and I'll ship it out to you. I know i have several Arkansas readers!! This year we have kaitlen and cody selling them. before I know it the school will send home the Christmas fundraiser, bahhh!!

Interesting day for Cody

They had a Fire Drill but it wasn't a drill. Everyone thought it was a drill even the teachers. The fire alarm went off and everyone left the building as they had been taught every year. Nice and orderly. There had been an electrical fire (from what i can gather from Cody) in his classroom when they were not in his classroom. His classroom is brand new. They extended the wing and Cody has one of the new rooms. I guess day 3 of school was to much for what ever had been done wrong and it caught fire. The rest of the day Cody's class was in the science room and apparently tomorrow they will be back in their classroom.

Now, girls in school are different that boys in school. I should begin the Chronicles of Kindergarten. Or for aesthetics i should go phonetically, The Kronicles of Kindergarten. LOL.
Today Kaitlen informed me that Kennedy didn't want to be her friend. Kaitlen is bummed because Kennedy played on her t-ball team. They actually look so much alike that they could pass as sisters. Kaitlen has plenty of friends already and played with Meme (her nickname, dont know her real name) and another girl from her tball team.

Day 2

Kaitlen was a little to tired this morning. I'm going to have to bump her bedtime back a half hour and see if that works. I had to do that with thomas too. He ended up being bumped all the way back to a 7:30 bedtime in order to not be tired when he woke up. It's hard to send your kid to bed when it's still light out though. I will say that kaitlen played hard from the minute she got home from school until the time she went to bed.

Ben went to drop cody off at his class since he didn't get to meet his teacher yet and the parents were not aloud to walk their kids to their class. I guess he's to grown up. Im sure it makes it easier on the school not having the parents there to when they don't really need to be.

Cody's Bible

Every year the children at Church going into the 3rd grade get their own Bible from the Women's Friendship Circle. Cody got his today and wanted to show me the Map of Jesus' last week in Jerusalem. Well, with Code it turned into about a 40 minute discussion.
It ended with him having his childhood planned out. He's going to play, lol!! his adult life planned out. MD, Governor, President ( Hmmmm, Dr. Velasco, Gov. Velasco and President Velasco all sound good.). Then his eternal life planned out. He's going to go see all the sea creatures that he wasn't able to see from land. :)

Switching Laundry

In the time it took me to go into the kitchen and put clothes into the dryer and another load in the wash Abigail came into the kitchen covered in Kaitelns hot pink nail polish.

Not sure what to do with her i put her in the bath but she wasn't dry yet so it got all over the tub. I went and got the fingernail polish remover but only had a little bit left.

I really didn't want to bathe her in the remover so her and the kids are taking an extra bubbly bath in hopes it starts to come off then i'll take a wash cloth to it.

It's in my carpet too. Im going to have to use the remover on it or paint thinner.

Daddy's Girl

We went to Gymboree to get Kaitlen some knee high socks and Ben couldn't resist getting Kaitlen these boots, LOL. They were on sale for 20$. They were having a huge sale if i hadnt already got her school clothes i would have got them from there. The knee highs were 6 for 10$ I got Kaitlen 4 and Abbie 2. :)

Continue to pray for Coleman

They will be heading to NY for more tests and treatment. Coleman says “nev-va div up” Never Give Up.

Coleman’s eating, restful sleep for him- (he’s still struggling some with the bad dreams now and then), easing of both Coleman’s and Caden’s fears as we take off to the Big Apple. (they also heard me use that reference and it brought up a whole lot of questions too!) And of course Coleman’s complete healing! Thank you soooooo much to our prayer warriors!!!

The raffle for Aiden

I never updated on the raffle for Aiden. Over 300$ was raised to help go toward the funeral cost for sweet little Aiden. Ashley was the mastermind of the raffle. It's was just a great idea and i'm glad I was able to donated some items to it.

Tropic Thunder- Don't see it

Tropic Thunder is a movie coming out with Jack Black, Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. A movie Ben and I would have watched If Renee over at My Special K's hadn't posted about it. Renee explains it a hundred times better than I ever could. In her post that's linked above and in this link called, Why it hurts. I know some of you don't like to click on links but please do you won't be sorry and I guarantee you'll come out of it more informed. I hope Dreamworks realizes they have crossed the line.

School Teachers

We met Kaitlens and Codys teachers tonight. Kaitlen seemed a little nervous. Excited but nervous. This is really big for her. She's never been away from us for that long of time every day.

Cody's teacher seemed really nice and looks like they will have a great year.

Codys Cake

OK, we have a cake idea for Codys party. He wanted Auntie Anna to make a gun, which i think would be hard. Shes good and she could do it but she works and they live in Mo. Soooo i saw a army tank cake and made me think of this. We'll do a civil war battle scene. With figures, trees, little creek, horses cannons, sandbags and bloody soldiers. Lots of soldiers lost limbs and we could do that too. I think that would be easier for Anna. I think I could even handel making something like that..... maybe, lol

Ashley and I were just talking about at the PD Christmas party how when she saw Matthew that she said something about how cute SHE is. I didn't say anything, lol. It didn't bother me. Ben did.(in a Ben and Ashley way, not mad or anything) He said something like Ashley, he's a boy.... or something. I had totally forgot about it. Anyway, it was funny. So here is a pic from the party.
