Happy Halloween!!!!

You know what today is???? It's the last day i have to put my kids in costume :) At school they can't wear masks so i did codys makeup. Now Abbie is totally afraid of the werewolf mask but didnt give a hoot about code having the makeup on. we might opt for makeup tonight then.

We carved pumpkins yesterday after school and Ben got off work early and carved the big one. It's a family tradition, it's been the same face forever. I'll get pics tonight with the candles in them. oh, Left to Right.... Fam pumpkin, Matthews, kaitlens, Codys and Abigail's. The one on top is fake.
We also quickly decorated the porch before it got to dark last night. The kids had fun especially with the hay.

oh, and kaitlen lost a tooth last night and the ToothFairy managed to remember to leave money and take the tooth.

Tricia wanted me to update this as she is in no condition right now. The doctors have told us that there is an increasing decline in Matthew now and they do not expect him to make it much longer. They have asked us to notify family at this point. I'm sorry, I just don't know what else to say at this point. We can't imagine our world without him in it if what they say is true. Again, thank you and keep the prayers going for him and us.

please pray for him and go visit and leave them a note.

Look who we went Trunk or Treating with!!!!!!!!!! We ran into Dena, her daughter and the grandkids. So we put Aubry with Abbie and they ate suckers while the kids got candy. Would have been perfect if Lily was there. Abbie looks like a ball of tulle, lol.

What?!?!

ok, I gonna say Christmas toy commercials have begun. My kids are now doing the,"can i have that, can i have that?" with every commercial. Well, Matthew just saw a commercial with this dinosaur. "Can i have that?? look mom look!!!!"............. so i catch a glance and think OH GOOD a dinosaur!! "sure honey". Because, the dinosaur in the bottom pic he asked for about a month ago and it is more thanI'm willing to spend on battery operated plastic. It is 130.$ So, i go look up this dinosaur that i saw was named Kota............. WELL KOTA!! is 300$ whopping dollars! (the part i saw of the commercial i didn't see the kid riding it so i had no idea it was that big.) BUT 300$ come on toy people, dang. People are losing their houses left and right, jobs, the stock market is on a wild roller coaster...........Obviously, Matthew doesn't care what kind of dinosaur he gets and I'm sure the stores will carry a very nice dino for me to get him.

In case you want to know what kind of dork i am i just had to copy and paste this entry into this blog because i almost did it in my recipe blog. I only noticed when i went to label it and it was all food words and no Matthew in there.

Fall Festival at Church

Yea, everyone is so excited for the party!!!

Even little ladybug....... until we go through the doors and there are people all over the place!!

Abbie got a pink ladybug and did good until the lady talked to her TOO LONG and ruined it.

Matthew made every beanbag into the top hole. He has a good throw.

Abigail literally cried the entire time. At this point i was sweaty and my arms hurt from holding her so i told Thomas i was going to take her to the car and for them to come out when it was over. there was about 30 minutes left.

When Thomas comes to the car with the kids both Matthew and Cody won a 2nd place ribbon for their costumes. WOW. No one even knew who Matthew was, lol. NO ONE!! and he won a place, lol. Something about original boy costume and Cody got it in the animal category. Now i was super shocked that Kaitlen didn't place. EVERYONE loved her costume and especially her hair. The ladies where going on and on about her hair. I was bummed for her. So Ben said all the officers at his work voted her the prettiest princess and she got a treat, lol.

OK, back to Abigail. When i went to the car the second we got out the front door she stopped crying because there was nobody out there. So i let her run and run and run. She had a blast.

I went ahead and made kaitlen an earring holder. I was to impatient to wait until i could go get wire mesh that I used tulle. (and some of Ashley's fabric :) )

Im not sure if im going to make it stand on her dresser or hang on the wall. Well, actually i need to keep it away from Abigail so it'll go on the wall.

Abigail WANTS to wear earrings

like really, really, really BAD!!!

Ashley got Kaitlen some super cute earrings. It must be about 20 pairs altogether and Abbie wants to wear them. She started screaming and crying that i couldn't put them in her ears. I thought it would make her happy if I put marker on them........ you know...... fake earrings......... she FA-REAKED OUT!!! totally pissed her off. So now the HUGE question is will she let a stranger touch her long enough to clean her lobes (thats whats going on in the pic below) make their little dots and then let them pierce them...........

venturing out

The puppies have gone down the hall!!! lol. Before they limited themselves to the kitchen, living room and den. Today Patches followed me to the bathroom and then tonight they both followed Kaitlen to the bathroom. Spot almost started heading toward my room until he saw me go back the other way. They come to you for affection and cuddles. Patches come to you when he wants to nap. He will do little jumps (pick me up) and bark while looking at you. He likes to lay on your shoulder (like your burping a baby) by your neck and fall asleep.

Obviously these pups are not down on the ground that often. Someone always has them. They are so funny when they are playing.

Smart? yes they are. Abbie has tormented Spot from the begining. He has now learned that when she's walking toward him to go crawl under the coffee table and she can't get him, lol.

Making a memorial for Mom

Doggie Costume

I made a dog costume for my girlfriends dog. Her little boy is going to be Harry Potter and what would HP be without his white owl???? So that's what i made.

I did a hood, coller and a cape. The cape won't lay flat for the picture because I have elastic across the waist area to help it stay on the pooch.

he even has the red and yellow around the bottom of the hood to look like the collar on the HP owl.

Parent Teacher conference

Today was Cody's conference. I didn't go because I woke up really sick, but Ben went. He is doing really well. They just tested and he is at an 8th grade reading level. He has a 3.9 GPA and as soon as he pulls his math grade back up he'll have no trouble getting a 4.0. Ben really got the impression that his teacher would much rather deal with a average 9 y/o that goofs off and stuff than to have to deal with someone of Codys needs. She doesn't "get" Cody and that has to be only because she hasnt tried. I have a feeling it is easier for her to ignore his intelligence than to feed it because I'll be honest, Cody is exhausting. You are drained by the time he is done with you. I really wish his GT was a class and not a pullout program. I think Code would really benefit from that and there is enough students that it would make a whole full time class.

Rockin'

Her auntie Anna and Uncle Lani got her this Cinderlla tent sleeping bag bed. It is huge in there. It came with two blow up sleeping bags that fit in the tent.

I'm adding a pic of them on the inside with the mattresses. Very cool.
